The first weekend I spent in Konstanz fell during the famous German festival known as Carnival. A week long street carnival consisting of costumes, partying, parades, and everything in between. For the whole week in March, streets in Germany are decorated with colorful flags, peoples are dressed up as costumes, partying in the streets late at nights, and of course, the final parade on the last Sunday of the celebration.

One of my roommates invited me out Saturday night where we met some of his friends and went to the old town of Konstanz, where people are dancing, and parting in the streets and a few local bars. This was a very interesting experience were I got to experience the young and old being as crazy as Germans can be.

The following day I made it to view Konstanz Carnival parade, where there were floats, people dressed up and confetti everywhere. This parade felt like a mix between the Macy's Day Parade and Halloween, where everyone from children to adults where all dressed up and enjoying their festive celebrations.
