We woke up, ate breakfast, packed our bags and caught our Uber to the airport. We checked into our flight, made it through security and flew to Venice. We then caught a bus to the island of Venice, about an hour drive from Treviso airport. We grabbed brunch, chilled out for a few hours before checking into our Airbnb and taking a nap. After a nap, we grabbed some food to cook another family-style dinner, before heading outside of our apartment to visit the street concert that was happening just a few hundred feet from our apartment. There where people drinking, dancing, and enjoying the Venice culture.

We woke up the following morning, cooked some breakfast and then headed out to the town. We walked, took photos, bought souvenirs, ate lunch, and of course, got gelato and slushies. We then picked up food to cook for dinner and headed back home to rest during the heat of the day. We cooked dinner and then headed downtown to grab a drink at a popular bar in one of Venice's squares that has the most nightlife.

Burano, island of the colorful houses.

The next morning we woke up and headed to Burano. Its an island about an hour away by Venice’s public boat transport where the buildings where painted amazing colors, blue, pink, yellow, orange and every other bright color you could imagine. This small island was stunningly beautiful and a unique experience, since my last visit to Venice, I didn’t make it to this island.

We then headed back to our apartment and picked up some food to cook for dinner. We rested for a bit and then ate dinner. After, we headed outside to hire our very own gondola in the Venice canals. It was my second time but was just as special and amazing as it was the first time. After our gondola ride, we headed to the same plaza just outside of our apartment where another live band was playing. We people watched, and enjoyed the music before heading back to our apartment to get some sleep for our return back to Konstanz the next morning.

We woke up, packed our bags and headed to the bus station to get to Treviso airport. We flew home to Stuttgart where we were supposed to hop on a train to get to our Flix bus stop. Unfortunately yet again our Flix Bus got delayed. After an initial one hour and 55-minute delay, we decided to ditch the bus idea and catch a German train back to Konstanz. We took our chances of not getting a refund for the bus and took a train home instead. We then later found out it got delayed an additional 2 times to 3 hours and 20 minutes. If we had taken the bus, we wouldn’t have left until 10:25, just minutes after our train would have arrived in Konstanz. We finally arrived in Konstanz, walked back home and started getting ready for our exams to come next week.
