After an eight-hour bus ride from Krakow to Prague, we found Costa Coffee, one of the few open coffee shops to rest and wait until we could check into our hostel. It seems that Prague is a city that likes to sleep in, and most coffee shops don’t open until eight or even nine in the morning. After about a three-hour wait at the coffee shop relaxing and myself editing photos from Krakow, we headed to find some souvenirs before we headed to Cafe Louvre where we order from the lunch menu. I got turkey slices and mashed potatoes with sparkling water. All of which cost only $8.20. Definitely recommended and always look for the lunch menu eat restaurants as it is great value for great food.

We then headed for our hostel to check in and rest to get back some energy from our long night on the bus. After a short nap for me and some blog work, we headed back out tot he town to find dinner. We walked along the river u too we found the Bridge Restaurant. A restaurant with a view overlooking the water. It was beautiful out, not a cloud in the sky, and a perfect 25 degree Celsius weather.

We then walked around the old town and made sure to get ourselves a chimney cake, which is a cylindrical cinnamon roll that you can get plain, with chocolate, cream or filled with your desired flavor of ice cream. Afterward, we headed back to our hostel to get some more sleep.

The next morning we woke up and headed to a cafe near our hostel where I ordered a French omelet with ham and cheese with bread, butter, and jam. We then headed to the city hall to ride the Paternoster elevator. After arriving we found out it was closed due to some religious holiday. Extremely disappointed that we were unable to ride this amazing contraption due to a holiday we have never heard of. Again, due to the holiday, the library was closed so we were unable to see the infinite book sculpture inside. We then headed to see the Kafka head sculpture to see it rotate, and after waiting twenty minutes, it never roared, I guess the state gets the day off from working on holidays too.

We then headed to the Prague castle to walk around the courtyards and inside the huge church on the property. We made sure to stop and get some fresh homemade lemonade. We then headed to the Petrin Tower, with a stop at the John Lennon Wall. We hike up to the top of Petrin Hill, purchased the 80 Koruna ticket and climbed to the top of the Eiffel rose looking observation tower. It was a spectacular view at the top and definitely recommend.

After, we walked down the hill to find lunch where I order a burger and a beer for $13.19. After paying we headed across the Charles bridge and walked around the old town some more. We then saw the astronomical clock, underwhelming but a must see if you're visiting Prague. Finally, then we walked back to the hostel to relax for a little bit before headed back out to find a bite to eat.

We then made to the old town where we bought a chimney cake in place of dinner because none of us were very hungry. Oh ya, and purchased another chimney cake. If you ever visit Prague, you will notice that many places take multiple currencies, such as dollars and Euros, but you better know how much change you should be getting back in return otherwise you could very easily get ripped off. I used American dollars to purchase a chimney cake and they tried to charge me more than twice what it should cost, instead of $3.08, they tried to take $9.5. Luckily I noticed this and was able to argue with them for the correct change.
After hanging around one of Prague's center squares in the old town we made our way to a local bar where got a local drink before heading back to our hostel. We packed our bags and got ready for our train to Vienna the next day.
