After waking up Friday morning I decided I should go somewhere today. So I got my camera gear ready, ate breakfast and headed to the train station. I bought the Baden-Württemberg ticket, a ticket that gives unlimited travel on regional transport within the Baden-Baden state of Germany.

For a student, traveling alone it costs 21 EUR but you can add up to 4 other additional students on the ticket for only 6 EUR per ticket. So this is a very good option if you want to travel with a group of people for day trips. Adult tickets cost 24 EUR plus the regular 6 EUR per extra ticket and all the states within German sell a similar ticket, just at different prices.

I got on the train made 2 transfers and made it to my destination for the day, the Rhein Falls. One of Germany’s largest waterfalls. I got there fairly early before there were too many crows. I took some photos, walked along the Rhein and took in the views.

As it started warming up, the crowds began to accumulate, I decided to head back to Konstanz to get some stuff done. I hopped on the same trains I took here and was home by 12. A short but easy half-day trip with lots of great places to take photographs, enjoy the beautiful nature this section of Germany and Switzerland have to offer and check off one of the many things I wanted to do before I leave Konstanz.
